I cut it in thin circles with the skin so the zuchinni stays in a whole piece. The pleco usually pins it against the tank sidewall that way too while eating it. I freeze the 'extra' slices in a ziplock and thaw it in a cup of warm water when I need more. They eat out the middle of the circle and I can scoop out the leftover 'ring' the next day to keep the tank from getting messy from it spoiling.

I feed my plecos zucchini regularly. But instead of taking the time to boil it in a pot, I put it in a bowl with some water and microwave it for about 3minutes. Does the trick! I just leave it as chunks that I cut originally and they love it.

I’ve always fed raw zucchini… they can chomp through that stuff at warp speed. I don’t think it matters how you slice it, but I’m not sure how well they can eat through the skin.

I know Plecos eat Vegetable matter being from teh Amazon river which frequently floods the land, never heard of feeding them squash, I know they like Spinach but they are messy eaters and usually have to clean up the leftovers

It really doesn't matter. I always cut it in strips, though. Why are you boiling it? I throw it in there raw.
