When at the carnival..what is your favorite food/snack to you like to engorge?

October 31st, 2009 | by admin |

I’m guilty of stopping by by the Piggly Wiggly Hoggly Woggly food stand. They sell oversized portions of food. I pig out on a mountain of deep fried zucchini slices.

When I was a kid it would have been cotton candy and caramel apples. Now it would definitely be fry bread with beans and a little honey.

Ah, those deep fried zucchini are good! Especially dipped in ranch sauce. Not something I eat very frequently, but yum! I use to want to get some cotton candy every time I went to the fair.

Toffee cashews…yum! Not supposed to eat then. Diabetic. But a few now and then won’t hurt me none.

Foot long corn dog and a funnel cake but I don’t go to the carnival to get them, I get them at the stands on the street corners during the Corn Festival.

Tossup between cotton candy and funnel cake with lots of powdered sugar.

I usually eat the funnel cake there and take cotton candy home. Sweet treats!

Oh my! What pleasant thoughts this brings to mind. I have to have a corn dog and Lemon aid. I love the taffy and cotton candy too. Our county Fair was just here a week ago and it is NOTHING now it used to be—just a smaller version. The food was great though.
