Why does putting a slice of bread in with baked goods keep them moist?
December 13th, 2009 | by admin |I know if you keep a slice of bread in with say a batch of fresh cookies the cookies will not dry out as fast and the bread will be stale in 2 days. But how does that work, what’s going on there?
I know but what’s the acutual physical or chemical reaction going on with the bread?
the bread absorbs the moisture and this will work grandma used that trick a lot

I have never heard that but I keep mine moist by putting them in the freezer after they are baked, Everyone raves about my baked goods and this is why the stay that way. try it when they are a bit warm sealed in an airtight container.
