How do I feed a boiled slice of cucumber to my fish?

February 23rd, 2010 | by admin |

The fish I mention are ‘blue’ Danios and comets.

So I boiled a slice of cuc and I am not sure how to feed it to them fishies.

Help???
Why not

I mean they didn’t seem to eat it but why shouldn’t I??

Just drop it in there, or use a veggie clip that you can buy at the pet store to secure it to the side. You can also use a plain wooden skewer and punch it through the cucumber and stick the skewer in the gravel.

You don’t have to boil it, since cucumber is such a soft vegetable anyway, but boiling it doesn’t hurt.

It may take awhile before the fish realize that the cucumber is food and begin to nibble at it. Don’t quit feeding it to them just because they don’t eat it at first, give them some time to adjust

Just put it in the water. But why are you boiling it? Just put in there raw.
I feed my 3 goldfish organic grass once a month that I grow just for them.

There is no need to boil the cucumber. Just cut it into wedges and you can take a small rock, and wrap a rubber band around the rock and cucumber wedge to weight it down in your aquarium. Fish love this and will eat on it for days until it is gone. :)

well, you usually boil it and cut it into small bite size pieces. my goldfish dont really like it. Zuccini is better, because it contains less water.
