why do some people put orange slices into their fish tanks. Is this okay for goldfish and corycats?
November 16th, 2009 | by admin |I’ve seen this at a pet store, seems kinda weird!
Goldfish LOVE citrus fruit.
It’s good for them and keeps their body colors bright too.
Catfish would also appreciate oranges, and any vegetables you want to offer.
Go to kokosgoldfish.com for more info.
Cheers.

It can be okay but do it in small amounts or your tank will cloud and too much citric acid in the water can be detrimental.

Goldfish like all sorts of fresh foods. I feed mine a diet of homemade gel food and fresh foods like shrimp and fresh veggies. Here’s a good article on goldfish nutrition.
