Question about golf grips?

April 15th, 2010 | by admin |

There are many ways to cure a slice but one thing that does help is the grip of course. Many people say to make your grip a little stronger which will help.

But I have another question then. You should be releasing the club through the ball which is caused by your hands turning over. If you have a strong grip, wouldn’t it naturally be harder to roll your hands over which means at the point of impact, the face could be a lot more open than it should?

NO your toe will be more closed at impact because youe hands have returned to a natural position.

Well first of all i’ll say that if you build up your grip, make it ‘fatter’ then yes it will be tougher for you to turn the club over, therefore leaving the club face open a little longer. The grip change wont prevent that slice as much as other improvements. Like ball position grip change club swing path etc. GL
