<br />Well in the UK a cheese toastie is 2 pieces of bread toasted with cheese in the middle or cooked in  a breville. I would only use thin or medium bread for that. The way you are describing is just plain old cheese on toast. I make it by toasting one side of the bread then on the un toasted side i place my cheese with some pepper and paprika and if I am in the mood some tabasco sauce. I then grill until the cheese melts and for my personal taste before it bubbles. ♥</p>
