My son dropped a few apple slices down a floor vent, what do I do?

I caught my son dropping apple slices down our floor vent today and I am freaking out, I have no idea what will happen? I don’t even know how to go about getting them out of there, I cannot see them.

If your vents are like ours, you unscrew the screws and lift the vent cover up.
Then reach down into the vent and get the apple slices.

    Dont freak!!! the apples will just rot and make everything smell

    The vent should just pull up. Reach your hand in there and see if you can feel it.

    The smell of Apples will be nice even if it rots but I doubt you want the ants it brings with it.

    Add some cinnamon…..turn the heater on….and it will smell like you’re baking apple pie!
    Just kidding! Unscrew the vent cover and remove the apple slices.
